Dr. Maya Angelo dubbed him a “giver of joy”. He knew that no matter where his professional ventures might lead him, he wanted this title to be the guiding core of his work. Of his many roles and activities, Clarke considers his most important and treasured role to be that of “Dad” to his two sons. It was an entrepreneurial spirit infused with restless creativity that propelled Clarke from a hotel sales manager to start his own event planning company, Charlotte Arrangements, in 1994. Soon after came Creatrix Design, a full-service design and production house; CenterStage@NoDa, a unique and sought after rental venue; and Legacy Charitable Partners (LCP), a consultative group that assists non-profits with their event and fundraising strategies. Today, all of these businesses operate under the multi-million dollar parent company, The Clarke Allen Group. Each brand was developed to operate on its own, yet each brand is interrelated.

Through these brands, Clarke has had the opportunity to build client relationships with companies such as Belk, Lowes Home Improvement, Siemens, American Tire, and Joe Gibbs Racing. Clarke has had many successes over the past years. In 1999, he was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year and was a finalist for that award in 2001. Charlotte Arrangements received an EVIE, a Special Event Industry Award of Excellence, in 2001 and another in 2006. Charlotte Arrangements has been named as a top 25 DMC by Special Events Magazine for two consecutive years; and in 2006, was recognized as the inaugural Services Partner of the Year by Visit Charlotte, part of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Clarke has been acknowledged for his support of the Arts and Science Council and for his work on Classroom Central and Business Through a Child’s Eyes – projects of the Center City Area Council of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

1. Choose whether you'll be registering as a Sponsor.  All sponsorships include either 1 or 2 member tickets.  It also includes either a new or renewal membership for one year.  {See more on the Sponsor Page}

2. If you are not registering as a sponsor, register as either a member or non-member for your base ticket for the conference.  Both ticket types include the Sunday Welcome Party, all education sessions on Tuesday and the Awards Dinner.  Can't stay for the Awards Dinner on Monday?  Choose the Monday Education Ticket instead.
