The Wedding Marketing Authority- Andy Ebon

Andy Ebon  Andy Ebon is this year’s Keynote Speaker to be featured at this year’s NAWP Conference. Andy had his first exposure to the business and marketing of weddings as co-owner of Music Man Mobile DJ Service, a San Francisco-based company that launched in 1977. With Music Man’s quick success, Andy was a frequent guest panelist at many industry conferences, including Billboard Magazine Disco Conventions. In 1982, Andy and Scott elected to sell Music Man and entered real estate sales in San Francisco and also moonlighted as a DJ at various Marriott Hotels. From 1980 to 1988, Andy taught at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. His experience in Marketing, Advertising, Salesmanship, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management earned him the Faculty Merit award in 1982.

In 1986, with business partner, Elaine Clark , Andy started Voice One, an audio production company. Andy and Elaine produced radio commercials and industrial audio projects, as well as performing voiceovers. By 1990, Andy sold his half-ownership in Voice One to Elaine, so he could focus, exclusively on Designer Music. Designer Music focused specifically on Weddings, Corporate Events, and Fashion Shows. Andy was awarded Small Business Owner of the Year by the San Francisco Small Business Network. In 1996, Andy was recognized by NACE, National Association of Catering Executives, as its National Affiliate Member of the Year. Andy would then successfully run for the NACE National Board of Directors, and serve five 2-year terms in four different positions. In 2007, NACE honored Andy with the ‘George Zell Spirit of NACE Award.’ The award recognized his longstanding ‘Commitment and Passion Toward Humanitarianism.’ Also in 2007, Andy was presented with the first Think Tank Flame of Inspiration Award for “Igniting the Entrepreneurial Spirit” in all of us.

Today, Andy continues as an in-demand public speaker at conferences and local meetings such as: NACE, The Special Event, ACPWC, catersource, Catering Symposium (Catering Magazine), CSA Las Vegas, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, AFWPI, Convention Services Association of Las Vegas, WPIC (Wedding Planners Institute of Canada) Professional Wedding Planners Conference and others. Andy and EBS Virtual Communications focus on wedding marketing and small business consultation. In 2000, The Wedding Marketing Network was launched. Andy has been involved in the hospitality industry and wedding marketing for over three decades and is still active and excited about lies ahead. (Convention Services Association)
